Edgebrooke Track in the Sherbrooke Forest

The Edgebrooke Track is in the Sherbrooke Forest, Dandenong Ranges National Park, 35 km east of the Melbourne CBD.

It links Jacka St (Ferny Creek) with the Sherbrooke Falls, passing through tall forest, tree ferns, and gullies, in lyrebird territory.

I hiked this track on April 14, 2008, as part of a 4 km route which took me along Hackett's and Sherbrooke Tracks, and Moore's Break, to the Falls.

A surprise - good views towards the Mornington Peninsula from Moore Break, near Jacka St.

Sadly, lyrebirds were not to be seen!
