Shoreham Coast revisited
These pix were taken on November 11 2012 on the Shoreham Coast, 80 km south of Melbourne, on Westernport Bay.
They show the scenery, environment, features, rock pools, sea creatures, and boating action on a 4 km return hike from the Shoreham Beach to Manton Creek.
My first visit to Shoreham was in January 1952, where I attended a ten-day camp for disadvantaged boys at the YMCA's Camp Buxton at Shoreham. It was on January 13 1952, 60 years ago, that I did this same hike as an excursion with the YMCA!
I remember that day well, which was overcast - the seaweed looks much the same now!
There is a family photo (see above!) taken on that day at the beach - I am the skinny kid at the extreme left wearing my blue and white striped T-shirt and runners!
See a Slideshow of all of the photos of this trip!
