Green Gully Trail - Templestowe
Green Gully Trail is in the Green Gully Linear Park, Templestowe, 15 km east of central Melbourne.
This shared Trail links Reynolds Rd with the Heidelberg-Warrandyte Rd, under and alongside the high-voltage transmission lines. My 4 km hike on February 11, 2013 started at Jenkins Park, off Shakespeare Drive, reached from Blackburn Rd.
The trail goes through a large pedestrian tunnel under busy Reynolds Rd, then passes through grasslands and areas of remnant bushland.
A wetlands area is next to the Trail, kept moist by a creek, part of which is underground.
Most of the Trail is along gentle undulating terrain, but the final section from the Porter St crossing is up a steep hill, with good views across the Park.Click here to see all of the Photos of my visit!
