Liverpool Rd Retarding Basin Reserve, Boronia

These pix were taken on February 25, 2013, at the Liverpool Rd Retarding Basin Reserve, Boronia, at the foot of Mt Dandenong.

The Basin is a large reservoir, built in 1972 across the Dandenong Creek, set in a bushland/grassland Reserve of 22 hectares.

It is managed jointly by Melbourne Water and Parks Victoria, with assistance from the local Community Group and Shires.

There are two dams, with many resident ducks, and the main walking trail takes the visitor around the Reserve along the maintenance track.

My exploration was about 2 km.
