These pix were taken on March 1, 2013, in the Warrian Bushland Reserve, Croydon North, on a 3 km circuit hike.
The
Reserve is the habitat of the Victorian Smooth Froglet, a tiny Frog,
and this location is believed to the only site in the Melbourne region
where this little creature is found.
The Reserve also has a Wildflower area (fenced), and a creek.
It was created in 1949.
Near
the main entrance an information board describes the Froglet. There are
also two trees with wooden carvings depicting frogs and various
Australian birds and animals.
