.My new Group, "Whitehorse District - Family and Local History" is now on line, as an open group on Facebook.

It's at https://www.facebook.com/groups/whitehorsememories/

Anyone may join, who has a Facebook account.

I grew up in Auburn, and have been a resident of Mont Albert since 1959.

Local and Family History, Recollections, Memories, Questions, School Photos, Images, Audio/Visuals, Events, Occasions and Digitized Memorabilia would be welcomed from anyone who grew up, went to school, taught, worked, played sport, or did (or is doing!) any or these activities in the District!

The District covers the area currently served by the City of Whitehorse, but posts linked to activities and history of adjacent suburbs are quite acceptable.

Suburbs covered are:

Mont Albert, Mont Albert North
Box Hill, Box Hill North, Box Hill South
Surrey Hills
Burwood, East Burwood
Forest Hill
Blackburn, Blackburn North, Blackburn South
