Cardinina Aqueduct Trail
These pix were taken on Dec 1 2013 along the Cardinia Aqueduct Trail, Cardinia, north of Pakenham.
The Trail links Thewlis and Officer Rds in West Gippsland, 60 km east of Melbourne.
It was constructed by Cardinia Shire in 2006, and follows the old aqueduct, decommissioned in 1998, which connected the Tarago and Beaconsfield Reservoirs.
It is a 4 km return hike, through forest, with views to the south across farms and hills.
There are excellent views of the Toomuc Valley from Thewlis Rd.
