I have published an updated new edition of this free on-line Research Project.

This is about the "Fox's Point Scenic Railway", also known as the "Vista Trains", an almost forgotten part of the Dandenong Ranges history in Melbourne's outer east, a popular tourist attraction between 1953 and 1961, located on the north face of Mt Dandenong.

It was located 3 km from the township of Montrose, on the southern side of the Mt Dandenong Tourist Rd, near the intersection of Inverness Rd.

My dissertation, of 30 chapters, brings together many heritage images, descriptive texts, location maps and drawings about the Railway. A special Chapter showing historical images of the early days of the Mt Dandenong Tourist Rd is also included.

New content now includes exclusive images of the demolition and recovery operations of 1965, the landslips and road widening of 1972, land usage, pictures of the site and the embankment in February 2015 after clearing of bush, and a Historical Timeline.
