Merricks Beach Foreshore Reserve - Clifftop and Coastal Hike

Excellent views from the Clifftop Walk Lookout across Westernport Bay to Phillip Island, and along the coast to Cape Schanck.
 

The Walk passes through the Merricks Beach Foreshore Reserve.

Balnarring Beach to Merricks Beach - clifftop hike

An interesting scenic hike is between Balnarring Beach and Merricks Beach, 80 km south of Melbourne, along the Clifftop Reserve.

I did this hike on Nov 4 2012, starting at Balnarring Beach, then up the track to the clifftop, through the pine trees, and down the stairway to Merricks Beach.

From there, I returned to my start point along the beach.

There are nice views across Westernport Bay from the clifftop.
