Hiking in the Steels Creek region - Kinglake National Park

The Steels Creek section of the Kinglake National Park, has many old antimony mines scattered around the hills and gullies.

I went up there on February 8, 2007, for a 5 km hike.

Therfe are lots of old mines and shafts along the scenic walking track which starts at the Old Mt. Slide Rd, north of the settlement of Steels Creek, 60 km east of Melbourne.
