The hike to the Olinda Falls in winter is always of scenic interest, about 45 km east of Melbourne, in the Dandenong Ranges National Park.
I visited the Falls on June 16 2007 on a very cold and overcast day.
The Falls Walking Track descends from the Picnic Ground, through tall forest and fern gullies.
The Falls can be viewed from the upper and lower lookout platforms. It is about 2 km return from the picnic ground to the lower viewing lookout.
