These pix were taken on December 22, 2012 in the Alpine National Park, Dinner Plain, 400 km NE of Melbourne.
They show the magnificent scenery and environment along the 3 km (return) quaintly-named "Room With a View" walking Track.
This walk is the first completed project by the Dinner Plain Landcare group. The walk was originally an old horse riding track through the snowgum forest to an open plain with spectacular views of Mount Hotham, Mount Feathertop, Bogong High Plains and the Cobungra River.
The Track starts opposite the Dinner Plain Village and took us about an hour to complete.
It was very hot, over 30 degrees!
"I love a sunburnt country, A land of sweeping plains, Of ragged mountain ranges, Of droughts and flooding rains." Dorothea McKellar"
