I have published this
new Research Project, which describes the history of the Upper Yarra Reservoir
and water distribution system,
started in 1946, commissioned in 1957, which was to become a major part
of Melbourne's major
water supply network.
It examines the planning, design, construction, development, and operations of the Reservoir, the Aqueducts, and the Pipe System, which collectively represented a massive engineering construction project of the time.
This Project is dedicated to the memory of the men and women who were involved in the building and operations of the System, which remains operational to the present day.
The Project is at Upper Yarra Reservoir.
