This Slideshow displays the images of my 2 km hike in this scenic bushland reserve, and nearby, on the Yarra, on May 1, 2014.
My access was from Yarraford Rd, off Heidelberg Rd.
The Park features a fascinating display of contemporary sculpture depicting Indigenous Heritage.
A walking track took me under the Chandler Bridge to the site of the former Alphington Swimming Pool, on the Yarra, where info boards describe the early history of the area. and in particular the evolution of the Pool. The Childrens' Wading Pool remains intact, fenced off. The original stone steps to the river survive.
