It includes the historical Kiln, used in the 1940s for the manufacture of charcoal.
The Tomahawk Creek runs through the park - the main walking trail is the 3 km (return) Thornton Track.
I visited the Park on March 14, 2011, exploring the Thornton Track, starting at the main picnic ground, then leading into Scout Camp Track and Soldier's Rd.
Many of the tracks are also popular with horseriders.
The photos include some shots of the Kiln and outbuildings.
